Welcome to Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club

Welcome to the Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club Website

Welcome to Sheffield & Hallamshire Motor Club. Founded in 1904 we are one of the most historic clubs in the country, and have been involved in everything from Rallying and Racing through to Sprinting and Karting. Currently we organise several stage rallies and sprints each year in addition to a successful road rally and a number of treasure hunts, quizzes and scatters as part of a wider interclub challenge. We also organise The Hope Motor Show, a huge event for classic and modern cars and motorcycles.

Tim Bates

It is with great regret that we must inform you that one of our most longstanding members, Tim Bates, passed away on Saturday 13th October. Tim had been suffering with a lung condition for some time, which had worsened over the past six months. Tim was an active committee member, marshal, clubman competitor, and had previously competed on both stage and road rallies. He will be greatly missed. The arrangements for his funeral are as follows: The funeral will be on Thursday 8th November, starting at 12:30 Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium, Periwood Lane, Sheffield, S8 0HN, after which we will return to the wake from 13:15 at the Manor House Hotel, High Street, Dronfield, S18 1PY.

ACF Challenge Round 9

Upcoming Events

Our next event is the Asquith Bonfire. The Asquith Bonfire will be on November 9th. Fire lighting at around 6.30pm. Food and football will be provided. Wednesday v United kicks off at 7.45 so for those of you who can't bear to miss it we will put a tv in the "barn" and show the match. The only things you need to bring are drinks and a firework, preferably just one - the bigger the better! This gives a more spectacular display. Sparklers are also a welcome extra. We often end up with some smaller fireworks left because it takes so much time to set them all up in the main diplay area and light them, if you do want to bring small ones we will set aside an area early in the evening for families to set their own off, see Bob when you arrive to organise. Please let me know if you're coming,I've got some names already but the more the merrier! Look forward to seeing you. Bob & Tina
